Meet the Team

John Williams - Managing Director

When I started Absolutely PC my passion was helping people to solve everyday problems using technology and this has been an underlying principle in the development of the business. Too many times I see businesses overwhelmed with problems that should not exist – my philosophy in life is to make things as simple as they need to be. Our clients regularly tell me this is what we deliver, simple and cost effective solutions that do what they need to do.

I find “switching off” is my biggest challenge, I guess if your job is also your passion then this is not surprising. However, when I feel the need to focus on something completely different then flying ticks all of the boxes.  I fly several 2 or 4 seater planes from Gloucester airport and taking friends and family over the wonderful country we have brings a smile to my face every time.

Marcus Kastania - Security Manager

I have always been passionate about IT which was originally triggered by building my own desktop from scratch while watching a video on how to do it.  Without any background or experience I started applying for apprenticeships in IT and eventually came across Absolutely PC. John was kind enough to give an “older” candidate a try and he has not been able to get rid of me since.

Absolutely PC treats your like a family member rather than a number and over the years I have built great rapports with our customers. I feel blessed to have the privilege to work in such a friendly environment and always enjoy helping our clients get those solutions they need to keep growing.

Outside of the workplace I am a bit of a fitness fanatic. I believe a healthy body promotes a healthy mind. However, when I am not on an early morning gym session, I love to spend time with my wife and beautiful twin girls. We enjoy going for long walks and just taking in the fresh air and country views on nice days.

Jack - Helpdesk Manager & Technical Pre Sales

Having been a bit of a computer geek since a very young age and an ever growing interest and passion for technology, it was almost inevitable that I would end up working in the IT industry. Absolutely PC has given me the opportunity to focus that passion in to a career and help a lot of people along the way. It’s also provided a creative outlet where innovative problem solving is encouraged and the support provided by the rest of the team here is generously on draught!

Probably unsurprisingly, in my spare time I like to play a variety of games and when I’m not doing that, I’m usually working on some techy project of sorts including designing and building my own arcade table with a built in projector (and cup holders of course!). My better half puts up with it for as long as I let her win at Tekken.

Tiegan - Financial Controller

I enjoy helping those around me, whether it be my colleagues or our clients. Watching people grow into something bigger and better is really inspiring.

Outside of work, I spend most of my free time immersing myself in the world of video games, and occasionally like to digitally draw. Foreign shows and films are also a big interest of mine.

Charlie Oldham- Chief Problem Solver

As a natural problem solver, I have always enjoyed having a full to do list and challenging situation in front of me. After joining and training with Absolutely PC in an alternative role, I started lending my hand to all departments, helping to handle any challenges that presented themselves. Based on this, my new role was created- Chief Problem Solver! You may find me contacting you regarding Finance, Account Management and Renewals (or anything else I notice pop up!)

As an ex-dancer and member of a band, music is my life and passion. I love the way something can consist of intricate complexity, and yet be so easy to listen to and feel. I am always singing or moving along to the music in my mind, which as a toddler mum is most often, ever-inspiring nursery rhymes.

Tom Greville- First Line Engineer

Hi, I’m Tom, an apprentice First Line at AbsolutelyPC. This is my first IT job which has shown me how IT adapts and functions for different companies with different goals. I have always been interested in learning about this side of IT and am happy to have it as my career too.

In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music and reading but my biggest hobby is Dungeons and Dragons which I have been playing for 3 years and is a great way to unwind and be a part of a massive unfolding story.

Harry Smith- Second Line Engineer

I have been working in IT for 9 years with most experience in optimizing web hosting environments, cybersecurity, and system maintenance. I try to ensure seamless operations and swift issue resolution to customize solutions that suit your hosting needs. I like problem-solving and pre-emptively addressing challenges to minimize disruptions, prioritizing clear communication and collaboration, to ensure your satisfaction.

Beyond work, I enjoy hobbies like Warhammer 40K, Magic The Gathering, and video games, with my spare time.

Ben Hutchinson- Third Line Technician

With over 25 years of experience in the dynamic world of Information Technology, I am your go-to person for all things tech-related. From the early days of dial-up internet to the current era of cloud computing and artificial intelligence, I’ve witnessed it all. My passion for problem-solving and my insatiable curiosity have fueled my journey through the ever-evolving IT landscape.

My journey began in the late ’90s when floppy disks were still a thing, and “You’ve Got Mail” was the highlight of our digital lives. Armed with a degree in Computer Science, I embarked on a mission to unravel the mysteries of code, networks, and databases.

Fast-forward to the present. Cloud computing has transformed the way we deploy and scale applications. Big Data analytics churn out insights from mountains of information. And AI? Well, it’s like magic—except it’s code. I’ve tinkered with neural networks, explored natural language processing, and marveled at self-driving cars.

When I’m not typing away, you’ll find me hiking in the great outdoors, volunteering in a local zoo,  sipping coffee at quirky cafés. Oh, and I’m a closet ukulele player—shh, don’t tell anyone.

Josh Silverthorne- Onsite/ Helpdesk Engineer

I work as an On-site Helpdesk Engineer. My role involves handling workshop tickets for devices that are sent in to us. As well as this, I am the one you are most likely to see, visiting customers on-site to provide IT assistance.

In my free time, I enjoy camping in the great outdoors, playing Airsoft battles, and gaming on my PC while hanging out with friends.
